Tree of Life - Heart & Lungs

This piece is dedicated to my mother who suffered from lung cancer. In addition to the cancer, she had multiple heart issues, so I decided to include both important human organs to shape the Tree of Life. The trunk of the Tree are two Hands holding a Heart, surrounded by the two lungs. God is the Heart of everything, pulsating love and nourishing all Creation. Likewise, the crown of this Tree of Life is like the two lungs - providing nourishment to our bodies as leaves nourish a tree. He is the Heart and we are the branches of the Universal Tree of Life. This Tree of Life resembles the Bronchial Tree of the lung with its branches. The Holy Spirit as a Dove of Peace guards from above, bestowing Life and Light to all.
