Birches of Ukraine

BIRCHES OF UKRAINE

         Birches are the trees of my childhood. My father planted three birches in front of our house. Birches, however grow especially in the northern lands of Ukraine, Russia and Scandinavia. Currently, my prayers and support go for suffering Ukraine and birches remind me of the steadfast people of Ukraine, that stand firm in the defense of their land and freedom for their children. Note the eyes on the bark of these birches. So, they resemble human faces and witness the heroic actions of the Ukrainian people and their suffering under the imperial ambitions of the Czars, the Communists, the Nazis, and now the Kremlin.
