The Sower

This piece is inspired by the Parable of the Sower, where the Sower personifies Christ. Christ appears from a divine perspective - from above. His head looks like an Eye surrounded by a wreath of olive branch. He is casting the seeds, and around him wheat is ripening, ready for harvest. Time is relative in God's timeline - all happens at the same moment. With the other hand, Christ holds the bowl with the Chi-Rho letters (Greek, for Christ) and Alpha and Omega (the beginning and the end). The image was inspired thematically by Van Gogh representations of many wheat fields and sowers.
