Tree of Life with seven birds

This painting depicts seven doves resting in the Tree of Life. Doves traditionally signify divine peace, purity, and innocence. Seven is a mystical number, signifying the completion and perfection of Creation on the Sabbath day. The seven doves represent the seven Spirits referred to in the Book of Isaiah 11:2, the sevenfold ministry of the Spirit: "And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD." Notice the swinging of the tree branches, as the Tree of Life is empowered by the Spirit of God, being fully harmonious and beautiful. The Seven Spirits of God stand before God's Throne, according to Rev. 4:5, "And from the throne proceeded lightning, thundering, voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne which are the Seven Spirits of God.'
