Women Bearing Myrrh

This piece was created during Easter, 2021, during the pandemic. As with the other pieces in the Perspective from Above series, it shows the interaction between Christ and the Myrrh-bearing women on Easter morning from an above perspective. Christ has a crown of glory made of laurel branches. The women below extend their hands to Him, holding anointment that is the Holy Spirit of their faith. The shroud of the swaddling clothes is between Christ and them as a white rainbow, the reconciliation of God and Humankind. The three crosses on Golgotha are seen in the distance. The women encountered the resurrected Lord first, thus demonstrating the depth of their love and faith.
